CORN FLOUR

Bright Star gives you the wholesome goodness of pure flour made only from the choicest corn. Bright Star corn flour is perfect for :

DIRECTIONS:
To make one cup (250ml)  gravy or soup, blend one heaped tbs (20gms) Cornflour into cold water, stir slowly to remove lumps formed, then add to the recipe. For thickening, always add small quantity of cornflour to any liquid at room temperature and then add to any hot dish and boil for few minutes.

Bright Star Cornflour quality has approximately double the thickening power then other flour, e.g. Wheat flour  Bright Star Cornflour makes delicious deserts, puddings, when blended with milk. Bright Star Cornflour helps to thicken soups, gravies, sauces, helps for making samosas, Pattice and fried foods more crispier.

CARAMEL PUDDING

INGREDIENTS:
Pudding Mix: sugar, Caraganeen (Agar),Corn flour,
Permitted Additives, Permitted Food Colour and flavours.
Caramel Toppings: Glucose Syrup, Caramalised Sugar,

DIRECTION:

Empty the caramel topping sachet to coat the sides and bast ½ liter mould or 4 small cups. Boil ½ liter milk in sauce pan. Now blend Bright star pudding mix and boil gently for 1-2 minutes, starting all the time. Pour very gently on to the caramel topping to avoid any intermixing and leave until cold and firmly set. Serve after 1-2 hours at room temperature for quicker setting keep in Refrigerator and unmould out to serve.

JELATO

DIRECTIONS:

  • • Stir 1 cup boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes  until completely dissolved.
  • • Stir in 1 cup cold water.
  • • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Makes 4 (½ cup) servings. Special Extra: Pour prepared  gelatin into 4 dessert glasses, top with Whipped Cream and drained canned or fresh fresh  fruits.

Prep: 10 Minutes

Makes 24 Serving (1 Piece each)
  1. 1.  STIR 2-1/2 cups boiling water (Do not add cold water) into 4 pkg. (4-serving size each) gelatin in bowl 3 minutes until dissolved. Pour into 13x9-inch pan.
  2. 2. REFRIGERATE 3 hours until firm.
  3. 3. DIP bottom of pan in warm water  about 15 seconds. Cut into 1-inch squares, or decorative shapes with cookie cutters, all the way through gelatin. Lift from pan.

CHINA GRASS

DIRECTION:

  • Boil ½ litre fresh Milk, Add thecontents of packet and boil on simmer for 2 minutes and also Keep stirring till dissolved.
  • Pour the prepared contents in to Dish, thali or in attractive moulds. Within 20minutes it sets with OR without ice.

ADVANTAGES:

  • It cools down the body heat, controls the Ulcer troubles, Fat free food.
  • Is highly useful in stomach and intestinal disorders. also can be serve as mild laxative.
  • It contains virens vitamins, minerals, proteins and rich source of iodine.

CITRIC ACID

To get relief from acidity or heart burns:-
Take one glass of water. Add 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid to it and 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bircarbonate (baking soda).

Citric Acid is used in soff drinks and Beverages, Mocktails & Cocktails, Fruit Drinks, Fruit Squashes & Concentrates,Sauces, James,Jellies etc.

MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE ( AJI NO MOTTO)

It dissolves easily in all foods and enhances the natural flavouring of the food in which it is used. It is an Ideal flavouring agent containing Monosodium Gluitamate produced from vegetable sources. It is also used to improve taste and texture of the foods and to impart juiciness and retain moisture.

Not to be added to any food meant for infants below 12 months.

BAKING POWDER

For regular purposes use about 10 to 12 gms ( two teaspoonful) of the Bright star Baking powder for 450 gms ( about 3 tea cups full) of flour. Mix Bright star baking pwd and flour throughly by passing both in dry state through a sieve 2 to 3 times. The finished dough preferably should be baked earliest in oven, or kept in cool place and baked at leisure.

  • * Avoid wet spoon.
  • * Keep in dry place.
  • * Always tightly close the lid.

COCOA

TO MAKE ONE HOT CUP

Mix one teaspoonful of Bright star cocoa with sugar to taste. Add a little cold milk thoroughly to a smooth paste. Pour on boiling hot milk, stir briskly while pouring.

TO MAKE ONE COLD CUP-

Follow the method as above add one teaspoonful of cocoa to boiling milk/water + sugar, then add this smooth paste in cold milk.

With Bright star cocoa powder you can make scrumptious chocolate cakes, Biscuits, Drinking Chocolate, Milk shakes, Icing chocolates and delicious Indian sweets.

CUSTARD POWDER

Mix 2 heaped tablespoon (about 30-35 gms) of Bright star Custard powder with 1 tablespoon (or more if desired) of sugar and 1/2 cup milk from 1/2 litre milk to make a smooth paste.

Boil the remaining quantity of milk and remove from heat.
Add the prepared custard paste to the boiled milk, sire well. Boil it for 2-3 minutes, stir constantly to avoid formation of lumps.
Pour the content in to dish or mould, and serve with fruits and nuts as desired.

To make the consistency thick or pouring custard, use more or less custard powder and prepare as above.

JELLY CRYSTALS-VEG AND NON VEG.
 
Boil 50% water out of 1/2 litre of water( about two  glass).  Add the content of the packet and keep stir on high flame till dissolved.

Remove from the flame and add the remaining water till it cool dawn to room temperature. Put it in a bowl and fridge it for 1 hour till it sets.

Veg jelly is not necessary to set in fridge. It is advice to serve cold and chilled jelly with custard powder or falooda glass or ice cream or any regular desserts.
